The look of “Stitched and Structured”
employs masculine tailored Features found in the 50s depicted in men’s wear while focusing on the soft Elegance found within the Rococo period and tying it in with ‘Dior’s New Look’ marrying the three themes to create a unique garment.
Details: Relaxed fit, Shoulder pads, Topstitching indicating plaid 50s pattern, Contrasting fabrics, 100% linen and 100% silk Satin Featured adjustable tie at the back.
COLLAGE
Collage is made up of various elements illustrating elegance and romance through the garment S & S. Digital photographs is the background and still life elements in the for ground create a unique abstract form.

Stiched and Structured
V neck corset dress, with a built-in corset with tie at the back to give structure and hold. Contrast in the corset front and back, the main garment is out of Grey linen with check stitching to create the 50s plaid check, With pleated bottom mini frill.
Sketches display the check, plaid within the sketch to provide detail. The check is not woven into the linen it sits on the surface as a topstitch.
The three themes are evident throughout, as known through the 50s men’s structured blazer, the rococo Period portrayed through the colour and ‘Dior’s New Look’.

Each illustration has been captured using various methods of illustration, continuous line drawing and drawing over photographs digitally. Each illustration is structured, and elegant values are present within as each portrays the same garment, but each illustration technique varies.
